Jennifer Connelly agreed to sleep in an ice cave to please her family, but was horrified when she woke up to find her dog licking her face. The actress raises son Kai, 13, and seven-year-old Stellan with her husband Paul Bettany, and is currently pregnant. Paul has a great sense of adventure and loves having bonding time with the boys, so all three were thrilled when a mammoth snow fall in New York left them able to fashion three huge caverns on their property. They spent hours sculpting the caves which were all linked, and decided it would be exciting to sleep in them. “Paul thought it would be fun for the family and their dog to sleep there one night but Jennifer, who’s a bit claustrophobic, had other ideas,” reports National Enquirer. “She woke up freezing at 3am with the pooch licking her face.”Jennifer was horrified at the situation she found herself in, and immediately gathered her things and returned inside. Once there the 40-year-old kicked back and relaxed in the warm, while her family snoozed happily outside.

Jennifer Connelly’s new movie The Dilemma, which stars Vince Vaughn and Kevin James, looks set to take around $20 million at the box-office once the US four-day weekend is over, reports MTV News. Vaughn’s last romantic comedies, The Break Up, Four Christmases and Couple’s Retreat all took more than $30 million on release but ‘The Dilemma’ is said to have been harmed by the hype surrounding Seth Rogen movie The Green Hornet, reports MTV News. Connelly plays the girlfriend of Vaughn’s character ‘Ronny Valentine’ who together face a ‘Dilemma’ after they find out that their friend’s wife, played by Winona Ryder, is having an affair. The movie is directed by Ron Howard and despite an initial buzz surrounding its release, it has so far received lukewarm reviews. The New York Post notes the “absurd situations” in which the characters find themselves a part off, adding, “The movie is much like a really long beer commercial, but a really dark one.” The Houston Chronicle praises Vaughn’s performance in particular, saying that he effectively “deploys his knack for high-grade Woody Allen nattering as a kind of verbal battering ram” and The New York Times concludes, “The movie is not all that deep, but it does go further than many of its kind in acknowledging the hurt and difficulty that are the deep wellsprings of any comedy worthy of the name”. The Dilemma is set to hit cinemas in the UK on Friday (January 21, 2011) before having a full European release on the 27th January.
