Connelly set for Into You

Back in 2005, while promoting ‘Dark Water’, Jennifer gave an interview to VLife (issue June/July 2005) where she said following:

“I don’t want that leap (into comedy) with the wrong film and have people say, ‘See? We told you. She’s only good at playing neuroic, suicidal people. Put her back into drama, quick!”

Seems like she found a fitting project! :)

Connelly set for Into You Jennifer Connelly is in talks to star in He’s Just Not That Into You, a comedy that Drew Barrymore is producing and starring in for New Line Cinema. Also in negotiations to star are Kevin Connolly (Entourage), Bradley Cooper (Alias), Justin Long (Ed, Live Free or Die Hard), and Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love). Ken Kwapis (License to Wed) is directing the film, which is based on a best-selling book about modern-day relationships. The book’s authors, Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo, worked together on Sex and the City as a consultant and writer, respectively. For Into You, Jennifer Connelly will play a woman stuck in a tired marriage with Cooper’s character. Kevin Connolly will play a man pining after a woman (still not cast) who is having an affair with Cooper, while Goodwin will portray a woman, obsessed with Kevin Connolly’s character, who tries to set up accidental meetings with him. Long will play a friend of Connolly’s character who takes on Goodwin as a My Fair Lady experiment. Finally, Barrymore plays a woman confused by dating in a culture obsessed with technology rather than actual human contact. Production is scheduled to start next month. (Hollywood Reporter)

New Interview Captures

Today, I added captures of 2 interviews Jennifer gave on the set of the movies ‘Dark City’ and ‘Waking The Dead’.
While we’re kinda talking about ‘Waking The Dead’. The director of this movie said following in an interview about the changes Warner wanted to make on this movie, in the first place: “When I wrote my script at first, some ten years ago, it was at Warner Bros., and they said, ‘Well, can you put this in chronological order, can you give it a happy ending, can you take the politics out of it, can you make Sarah more easy and likable because people don’t like a woman with strong politics? And can we get Tom Cruise and make it for $70 million?’ So when that all didn’t happen, the film had a chance to have a new life, but it took years! And only when Jodie [Foster, of Egg Productions] came on, did we get it made.”
Thank to Jennifer Connelly Center & Jennifer Connelly.org for provding the clips.

Connelly and Bettany join forces on big screen

Wow, I found some amazing news on a new movie project of our dear Jen! :)

Jennifer Connelly and real-life husband Paul Bettany are teaming up again on the big screen in Born, a psychological thriller that Guillermo del Toro, Lawrence Gordon and Lloyd Levin will produce, and horror veteran Clive Barker will executive produce. Connelly and Bettany married in 2003 after meeting on the set of A Beautiful Mind and have a child together.

Daniel Simpson will direct the project, who wrote the script with horror author Clive Barker and Paul Kaye, which revolves around a couple who settle down in a seemingly idyllic English town to raise a family. Their perfect life is shaken when the husband, a claymation artist, discovers his characters are acting out a nightmare that comes to life.

Stop-motion animated sequences, produced by Chiodo Bros. Productions(Elf, Team America) will be integrated into the film.

Steve Lanning and Cliff Lanning are producers on Born, which starts production in mid-August in the U.K.

‘The Incredible Hulk’ to be filmed in Toronto

Torontonians beware! The Incredible Hulk is coming.

The city has been chosen as a principal filming location for the upcoming Marvel Studios production of The Incredible Hulk.

The Incredible Hulk is to be directed by Louis Leterrier (Will begin shooting this summer for about four months. 1 & 2, Unleashed).

The film’s executive producer Jim Van Wyck (Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, Armageddon), shot in the city two years ago on the action flick 16 Blocks and said he found the Toronto film community to be “exceptional,” lauding the co-operation from the city and the province.

The Incredible Hulk is expected to begin shooting this summer for about four months. The cast has yet to be announced. Marvel Studios is a subsidiary of Marvel Entertainment Inc., which publishes characters including Spider Man, X-Men Captain America and Ghost Rider.

The announcement gives a boost to the local film industry which is still suffering the after-effects of a six-week strike by Canadian performers. A tentative deal between ACTRA and producers was reached Feb. 21.

No word if Jennifer’s in it or not. I hope, she is. I mean, nobody can be a better Betty than her! ;)
