On her casual go-to outfit: “A much-loved pair of old biker boots, figure-hugging jeans and an acid yellow T-shirt from American Apparel. I tend to recycle. I have Doc Martens I’ve had since I was 15 that I still wear. I have to retire them soon because they are falling apart.”
On her British husband of six years, actor Paul Bettany: “He is a really good person – he is funny, he’s smart and he’s kind. He will surrender without vanity or ego to the story, which I really admire.”

Jennifer Connelly graces the March 2009 cover of Glamour. Here’s what the 38-year-old actress opened up about:
On honesty in her marriage: Neither my husband [Paul Bettany] nor I are interested in being sneaky or mincing words. If I break something, for example, I have to announce it. I’m a compulsive confessor.
On a bad blind date: It was horrible! I went on a date with a guy who played his guitar for me and was so full of himself. We had plans to go out to a party, and he was driving and I remember saying, “You know what? I’m so sorry, but I’d like to go home please.” So I got out of the car and I left.
On today’s dating rituals: It’s been so long since I’ve dated that I don’t understand what’s going on anymore with things like Facebook and MySpace. A friend of mine wrote “LOL” to me the other day. I thought she meant “Lord, oh, Lord.”
On how she knew Paul Bettany was The One: I don’t know. It was something about the way that we were together. He stood out to me as someone singular and rare and beautiful, and I liked the way he was in the world…. I liked the way he was with my son and the way he made me feel. Family photographs. “Right over my bed I’ve stuck on a black-and-white photo-booth strip of Paul, Kai, and Stelli, and another of Kai and Stelli with my dad.” (Connelly’s father passed away in September.)
Visiting Africa’s Kalahari Desert with her family. “We all walked away from each other and lay down on the sand. It’s crusty, like salt flats. We were just silent for a while.”

On October 07, Jennifer attended the world premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s latest show Wintuk at the WaMu Theater in Madison Square Garden. She attended the show (about a whimsical circus fable about a young boy’s quest for snow) with Paul, Kai and Stellan. Lovin’ the cute family photo!
