Audiences apparently were ‘just not that into’ the film’s negative critical reviews around the web. Despite bad buzz, New Line’s ensemble comedy hauled in an impressive $10.5 million. If you cast stars — big ones — moviegoers will still flock to the cineplex. Though it took two hours to pack in enough screen time with all the stars in He’s Just Not That Into You. Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Ginnifer Goodwin and Drew Barrymore prove the power of the ensemble cast. The ‘splat’ of a 44% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes, didn’t stop gals (and guys) from opening their wallets and proved the point that you’re bound to find at least one celebrity you love in this film. |
